Aral, a brand belonging to Deutsche BP AG, is the market leader in the petrol station business in Germany with more than 2,600 petrol stations on roads, almost 100 petrol stations at motorway service areas and over 10 million customers. A high level of customer orientation and a steadily increasing rate of customer retention are vital to further enhancing this market position. In 2003, readers of Reader’s Digest in Germany voted Aral the “Most Trusted Brand” in the category “Petrol”.
The projects:
- Software development, application management and operations for the central marketing database
- Editing, migration, integration and consolidation of the customer data generated by the “Volltreffer” promotion and online presences
- Planning, implementation and supervision of the interfaces to other service providers
- Consulting services and support for the planning, implementation and analysis of multi-channel campaigns
- Consulting services for the conceptual design of the main customer dialog for the Retail division (petrol station business)
- Conceptual design, development and operation of an OLAP cube for the multidimensional online evaluation of the customer and marketing database for the strategic selection of target groups and supervision of direct marketing initiatives
- Implementation of the logistics systems for the “Volltreffer” customer loyalty program. This includes not only project management on behalf of BP, but also in particular the definition and specification of requirements, project planning, coordination of internal and external service providers, planning and supervision of the system tests.
